Drowning Buddha, Trat
It is more than 5
meters in size and is located in the middle of Khao Rakam
Reservoir. In the past, this area was the Khao Rakam Monastery.
which has received much devotion from the villagers Therefore,
they helped to build this Buddha image. Later, the Royal
Irrigation Department saw that the need for water in the area
increased. Therefore, the water storage area has been expanded.
As a result, the area around the Khao Rakam Monastery was
flooded. The Buddhasiri Phuwadol Mongkhonchai was submerged in
the water since then. |
